A prayer

Since my prayer my speaking has improved and also I have had ideas for helping my pronunciation improve.

Early this weekend (Friday evening) I bought 한국어 문법 2, so I hope to be using it to make sure I know all the grammar forms and expressions.

I’ve been keeping a regular diary in Korean and that has helped me a lot in developing my expressive power. Daily  (or almost daily) I’m trying to express new thoughts in Korean. Now I need to also add daily reading practice, and daily listening practice.

I’ve noticed that my pronunciation and intonation and ease of expressing myself is specially strong after listening to the cd of “2000 Essential Korean Words for Beginners.” I should listen to that so that I know very fluently all 2000 words in that book

Progress. . . little by little

I’m getting much better in Korean. I was very discouraged Saturday and Sunday after my four hours of classes (one with the working mother), one with the company worker.

However yesterday I met with a Korean who had visited my family in China. We talked pretty much nonstop in pretty much only Korean for 3 hrs. It was so nice!

I had another very nice experience on Tuesday — I talked for about 30 minutes with the 6-새샘 teacher about our class and how to rearrange the schedule.  Later I talked with her some more in Korean.

This experience Thursday was very encouraging because I was actually able to carry on and communicate in Korean about something important for an extended period of time.
