Day 84

Although I got very little Anki reps in, I slept tonight at my homestay’s house (I’m staying there several days of the week), so was able to get a lot of practice talking and listening in Korean.

Very little Anki reps, but I went to Korean church service and Korean small group afterwards. Afterward small group we went out to a cafe and hung out for a couple hours, so I got lots of Korean listening and speaking practice.

Even though it was Saturday I didn’t do as much work as I wanted to. Worked some on Hanzi, and 14 minutes of Anki Hanzi flashcards, 1 hr (432 cards) of Anki sentence cards.

I worked mostly on reviewing Anki cards today. I did 515 cards for 1.3 hrs. I was a bit frustrated with the buildup though so in the end I reset the backlogged cards as new cards. (Quite a nice feature I just found out about today.)

Yesterday and today I went to 새벽 기도 with my homestay 형. It’s definitely a good way to start the day off on a Korean foot. . . and gives me good Korean listening practice as well.

13 min, Anki Hanzi review — I have it set to add 17 new words each day, but I’m working on those words the day before in my train commute to work.

Hanzi: 168 done, 1332 to go.

Today’s Anki was 41.5 minutes, 144 cards. I also am starting Hanzi with Heisig’s Remembering the Hanzi in earnest now. I did up to 125 today, and then did around ten minutes of review with Anki.

Hanzi: 125 finished, 1375 still to go!

I did 27.3 minutes, 114 cards. I slept in the evening at my homestay house. This month I’ll probably be staying 70% of the time there. It gives me lots of speaking and listening practice.
